About Us

The Duchesne County Library System consists of two branches with a headquarters branch in Duchesne City and another branch in Roosevelt. The Duchesne Branch also houses the Duchesne County History Center. The system serves the approximately 20,000 residents of Duchesne County and the western portion of Uintah County.

Drop Boxes & Offsite Libraries

Besides the two branches, the library system offers drop boxes across the county to return items and also has offsite library service in Altamont, Fruitland, and Tabiona. See the locations and schedules of Drop Boxes here and of the Offsite Libraries here.

Catalog, eBooks, & Utah’s Online Library

Our library system offers a wide variety of books, audio books, and movies. Free access to the Internet via public access computers and wireless is also available.  Browse the online library catalog here.  The state-wide collection of eBooks, eAudiobooks, online encyclopedias, research, recreational databases, and homework helps are available at Utah’s Online Library here.

Tutorials

A video tutorial and pamphlets on how to use the library catalog to renew, reserve, or make requests online or to use Overdrive eBooks and eAudiobooks, and Hoopla’s digital collections can be found here.

Events & Announcements

Each year it is our pleasure to provide a variety of community programs throughout the year. This includes: a summer reading program for children, teens, and adults; a weekly story hour every Tuesday morning at the Duchesne Branch; weekly story hours every Tuesday and Wednesday morning and afternoon at the Roosevelt Branch; a weekly homeschool activity in Duchesne; and many other rotating monthly and annual events.
