When Are Property Taxes Due?
Real property taxes are due November 30 of each year. If that date falls on a weekend, payment is due the following Monday.
In 2026, current-year taxes will be due on November 30th.
All county offices will be closed on November 11th (Veterans Day) and November 26–27th (Thanksgiving).
Tax notices are mailed no later than November 1st each year.
How to Pay Your Property Tax
- Online or by Phone (Credit/Debit Card through Core)

- Pay online: Visit duchesne.utah.gov
- click the online payment button, and click the real property option
- Core charges a 2.5% fee for the use of a debit or credit card (minimum $2.50) based on the tax amount.
- Pay online by E-check with no charge from October 1 through November 30.
After November 30, a $0.75 Core fee per payment may apply. Multiple parcels can be paid with a single transaction. (Currently, this fee is waived.) - Multiple parcels can be paid for with a single payment.

Credit card payments in person are subject to the 2.5% Core fee per parcel.
Auto Bill Pay (2026 Program)

- Estimates your annual taxes and divides them into nine monthly payments (February–October).
- The final payment (around November 15th) covers the remaining balance after tax bills are issued in October.
- You’ll receive an email reminder before each withdrawal.
- Convenience fees may apply.
- To cancel, contact the Treasurer’s Office (435-738-1190) or Core (800-764-0844).
- The program renews each year automatically unless canceled.
(Not available for delinquent taxes.)
Online Payments for Delinquent Taxes
Before paying delinquent taxes online, please contact our office at (435) 738-1190 to ensure the correct amount is paid in full.
Prepayment Coupons
As of 2020, prepayment coupons are no longer mailed automatically.
They are available online on or around February 1st, 2026, through the County’s website.
Coupons allow taxpayers to make optional monthly prepayments to reduce their November balance.
Coupons are based on the prior year’s tax amount and divided into nine monthly payments.
Any difference will appear on your November 2026 tax bill once current-year taxes are finalized in mid-October.
If you are unable to print your coupons, contact the Treasurer’s Office to have them mailed to you.
Payments can be mailed, dropped off in person, or set up as automatic monthly withdrawals (see “Auto Bill Pay” above).
Treasurer’s Function
The Treasurer bills and collects property taxes, invests county funds, and safeguards and disburses all county revenues.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Bill and collect real property taxes
- Disburse taxes to taxing entities (schools, cities, water districts, etc.)
- Process refunds of overpaid taxes
- Publish annual delinquent tax listings
- Act as custodian of all county funds
- Receive and disburse funds as authorized by the County Council, Auditor, and Assessor
- Serve as County Investment Officer, managing monies collected from all county departments
- Maintain accounting of all county receipts and expenditures
Additional Services and Information
- Market Values: Determined by the Assessor’s Office, not the Treasurer.
- Tax Rates: Set by the Clerk/Auditor’s Office and State Tax Commission through the annual budgeting process.
- Tax Levy: Real property taxes are levied by the Clerk/Auditor’s Office.
- Personal Property Taxes: (Mobile homes, businesses, airplanes, etc.) — handled by the Assessor’s Office.
- Appeals: Property value appeals go through the County Board of Equalization (see the Assessor’s webpage).
