How Do I Get a Physical Address?

How Do I Get a Physical Address?

How Do I Get a Physical Address in Duchesne County?

Duchesne County assigns physical addresses to habitable structures.  This includes primary or secondary homes, cabins, offices, or other structures in which a person or people reside. Physical addresses are assigned under the direction of the Community Development Director as part of the building permit process. Vacant parcels and recreation vehicles are not assigned physical addresses, but are associated with the mailing addresses of the property owner.

A physical address is assigned based on the structure's physical location in the County based on a grid system, which has a center point in Roosevelt.

If you would like your habitable structure assigned a physical address, please contact the Duchesne County Department of Building Safety for a building permit application at gmayhew@duchesne.utah.gov, or (435) 738-1150.

If you have a question about your current physical address, please contact the Community Development Department at mikeg@duchesne.utah.gov, or (435) 738-1135.

If you require your tax notice to have an address changed, please contact the Duchesne County Treasurer, at mclegg@duchesne.utah.gov, or (435) 738-1190, or use this online request form.
