About Us
The Duchesne County Sheriff’s Office employs 61 individuals total. 51 are Sworn Officers, including 21 patrol officers who answer calls and conduct investigations covering an area of 3,256 square miles. Three detectives comprise the Investigations Division. The Sheriff’s Office also provides Animal Control Services throughout the County. Twenty-six Corrections Officers operate the Jail which is a 165 bed facility that houses County and contracted inmates from the State of Utah.
20 civilian employees provide administrative support to the Sheriff’s Office in areas such as Records, Finance, Booking, Food Services and other administrative functions.
