The Primary Election being held on June 26, 2012 is a function of the political parties to nominate one candidate per party for the November General Election. The rules for conduction the primary are established by the political parties. If you decide to participate in the Democratic Primary, your party affiliation will not be affected. If you decide to participate in the Constiturion Primary, your party affiliation will not be affected. If you decide to participate in the Republican Primary, their party rules require you to affiliate with the Republican party in order to do so.
